Terms of Service

Welcome to Mentrix. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mentrix platform, website, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By creating an account, accessing the Platform, booking a session, or becoming a mentor on Mentrix, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
1. About Mentrix
Mentrix is an online platform that helps individuals discover and connect with mentors across various fields, including but not limited to sports, arts and academics.
Mentrix’s role is limited to providing a platform where mentors can create profiles and where users can discover, contact, and schedule sessions with mentors.
Mentrix does not provide mentoring services itself.
2. Independent Mentors
Mentors registered on Mentrix are independent individuals or businesses.
Mentors are not employees, representatives, partners, agents, or contractors of Mentrix.
Each mentor is solely responsible for:
- The services they provide
- The accuracy of their profile information
- Their qualifications, experience, certifications, and credentials
- The preparation and delivery of their sessions
- Their communication with clients
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Mentrix does not supervise, control, or direct how mentors conduct their sessions.
3. Mentor Profiles
Mentors are responsible for ensuring that all information displayed on their profile is accurate and up to date.
Mentors must not:
- Provide false information about their experience or qualifications
- Misrepresent certifications or achievements
- Offer services they are not qualified to provide
- Engage in inappropriate, unsafe, discriminatory, or unlawful conduct
Mentrix reserves the right to remove profiles that violate these Terms.
4. Booking Sessions
When a client books a session with a mentor, the agreement for the mentoring service is between the client and the mentor.
Mentrix facilitates the connection but is not a party to the mentoring relationship.
Users acknowledge that:
- Mentrix does not guarantee any specific result from a session
- Mentrix does not guarantee compatibility between mentors and clients
- Mentrix does not guarantee the quality or effectiveness of mentoring services
5. Safety and Risks
Certain mentoring activities may involve physical activity, sports, training, or other activities that carry inherent risks.
Users are responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate based on their personal circumstances.
Mentors are responsible for implementing appropriate safety measures and obtaining any required certifications, permits, or insurance.
Mentrix is not responsible for injuries, accidents, damages, or losses resulting from participation in mentoring sessions.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mentrix shall not be responsible or liable for:
- The actions, statements, advice, or conduct of mentors
- The quality, accuracy, or results of mentoring sessions
- Injuries, damages, losses, or disputes arising between mentors and clients
- Any failure by a mentor to provide a session
- Any disagreement between users
Users agree that Mentrix is only a technology platform facilitating connections between independent parties.
7. User Responsibilities
Users agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Respect mentors and other users
- Use the Platform lawfully
- Avoid inappropriate or harmful behaviour
- Respect cancellation and payment policies
8. Payments and Fees
Mentrix may charge platform fees, subscription fees, or other charges as communicated to users.
Mentors remain responsible for their own tax obligations related to income earned through the Platform.
9. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation and refund conditions may vary depending on the mentor’s policies.
Users agree to review the applicable cancellation policy before booking a session.
Mentrix may assist in resolving disputes but does not guarantee refunds or compensation.
10. Intellectual Property
All Mentrix branding, logos, designs, software, and content belong to Mentrix unless otherwise stated.
Users may not copy, reproduce, or use Mentrix intellectual property without permission.
11. Privacy
Mentrix collects and uses personal information according to its Privacy Policy.
By using Mentrix, users agree to the collection and processing of information necessary to provide the Platform.
12. Account Termination
Mentrix may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms
- Create safety concerns
- Provide false information
- Harm other users or the reputation of Mentrix
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the province of Quebec, Canada.
Any dispute related to these Terms shall be resolved according to applicable Quebec laws.
